Large lot of awards given to Michael Peters, the groundbreaking choreographer who pioneered the medium of dance in music videos. The most influential choreographer of the 1980s, Peters was responsible for the mesmerizing moves in Michael Jackson's ''Thriller'' and ''Beat It'' music videos. He also choreographed the Broadway musical ''Dreamgirls'', for which he won a Tony, as well as several films, including ''What's Love Got to Do with It''. Lot includes:

1) Tony Award for Outstanding Choreography, awarded to Michael Peters in 1982 for ''Dreamgirls''. The 3'' Tony medallion, made of brass and bronze with a nickel plating, features the masks of comedy and tragedy with the words ''Antoinette Perry Award'' on one side, and recipient information engraved upon the other. Medallion pivots upon a black lacquered base, bringing the total height to 8'', with the base measuring 3.875'' square. Some tarnishing to medal and very slight bend atop base , overall in very good condition.

2) MTV Moonman Video Music Award for Best Choreography in a Video, awarded to Michael Peters at the inaugural ceremony in 1984 for "Thriller". Trophy is a sculpture-in-the-round which swivels on its black base, patterned after the channel's iconic bumper. Plaque reads, ''Video Music Award / 1983-1984 / Best Choreography / in a Video Award / Michael Peters''. Award measures 12'' in total height, and base diameter measures 5''. Award weighs 10 lb., 9 ounces. Some tarnishing to metal and small dents to black base. Plaque needs to be affixed to base more securely. Overall in very good condition.

3) Billboard Video Music Award, presented to Michael Peters and Michael Jackson for Best Choreography for ''Thriller''. Wood plaque measures 6'' x 9''. Minor scratching, overall very good plus condition.

4) American Video Award for Best Choreography, awarded to Michael Peters in 1983 for ''Beat It''. Unique design of three metal pillars on a modified triangular wooden base measures 9'' across x 6.75'' tall. Some chipping to wood and scratching to metal. Good condition.

5) Silver box given to Peters by producer David Geffen to commemorate the opening night of ''Dreamgirls''. Box is engraved on the lid, ''Dream Girls / Imperial Theater / Opening Night / December 20, 1981 / David Geffen''. Wood-lined box measures 6.25'' x 3.25'' x 1.5''. Tarnishing and a few imperceptible dents, overall in very good condition.

6) Commemorative lucite paperweight for ''Dreamgirls'' dated the opening night of 20 December 1981 and signed in white within the lucite by Michael Peters and producer Bob Avian. Measures 4'' x 4.875''. Minor scuffing, overall very good.

7) Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle award to Michael Peters for Distinguished Achievement in Choreography, 1983 for ''Dreamgirls''. Wooden base with raised metal plaque measures 8'' x 6''. Light wear and some tarnishing to metal; very good condition.

8) Award of Recognition given to Michael Peters in 1993 from the Friends of the Black Emmy Nominees, for his role as Choreographer for ''The Jacksons: An American Dream'', the TV mini-series released in 1992. Award measures 14.5'' tall on a wooden base measuring 6.5'' square. Metal sculpture is loose, possibly in need of repair, and chipping to wooden base. Overall in good condition.

9) Showstopper Dance Achievement Award presented to Michael Peters. Tall award features a sculpture of a female dancer, measuring approximately 28.75'' high x 14'' wide, on a 4'' round base. Very good condition.

10) The Alvin Ailey Choreography Award, otherwise known as The Frank Award, given to Michael Peters at the Black Achievers Award Banquet on 12 February 1994. Lucite pyramid on a black and gold base measures 10.5'' tall x 6.25'' square. Near fine condition.

11) Commemorative display of two star columns on a reflective acrylic base. Plaque reads ''For Rebecka - Thank you for all the wonderful years of friendship, love, joy, dancing...and inspiration. From your devoted friends and family. November 10, 2001/December 2, 2001''. Measures 6'' x 5'' x 9.5'' tall. Near fine.

12) Sculpture of a male dancer, measuring approximately 15'' x 5'' x 8.5'' tall. Very good condition.
