Queen Alexandra autograph letter signed. Dated 19 September 1921, her letter is written on a mourning stationery card bearing a royal cypher and the name of the Royals' Norfolk estate, Sandringham. The first page of the letter appears to be written in another language. The second page, in English, reads in part, ''...Splendid work...in North Staffordshire during 34 years - We all must be most grateful to you for the wonderful works...May I ask you to accept this small...brooch from me & these two photographs...Alexandra''. With envelope also addressed in her hand, in fair condition. Letter measures 4.5'' x 3.5''. Toning and wear to edges, very good overall.
