Very rare Howard Carter signed chromolithograph of the Egyptian pharoah Aahmes, published by McLagan & Cumming, circa 1904. Carter, the archaeologist and Egyptologist who discovered King Tut's tomb, here signs the lower border in pencil, ''Howard Carter''. This and other chromolithograph plates by McLagan & Cumming were used in works regarding the excavations at the Valley of the Kings, rare in their own right, with an example signed by Carter very scarce. Measures 7.75'' x 10.75''. Pristine, near fine condition.
