On Jackie's personal pale blue stationery with ''1040 Fifth Avenue'' embossed in silver at top, letter reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Preston - I am so touched by your kindness, and that of all your family, in going to all the trouble you did to bring our puppy Daisy safely back to us. The children love her very much - They would have been heartbroken if anything had happened to her.

With your own great sorrow, you went out of your way to bring a lost puppy safely home - / My heart breaks for you and Mrs. Preston - to lose your son. / What can anyone say to you? Only God can help you - and He will, even if you resist Him. / Please accept my deepest deepest sympathy - / and my gratitude for your kindness - / Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis''.

Letter measures 5.25'' x 7.625'', with original mailing envelope handwritten by Jackie, postmarked 12 June 1969. Held in a double sided frame measuring 14.25'' x 11''. Also in frame is a $20 bill, perhaps a reward for finding the puppy. Fold, light creasing and one area of blue smudging. Not examined out of frame but appears in very good condition.
