A Lutheran minister and U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, Muhlenberg also served as General in the Revolutionary War after he earned the nickname ''Devil Pete'' when serving in the German dragoons. Vellum document measures 12.625'' x 14.875'' with intact paper seal at lower left. Folds, and dampstaining at upper and lower areas, overall in very good condition.
