Lacquered Russian box from the personal collection of President Ronald and Nancy Reagan, displayed at their Bel Air, California home. Black lacquered box features a beautiful winter scene of a horse-drawn sled. Hinged top opens to reveal a red lacquered interior with slip in Russian. The box was likely obtained during the Reagans historic trip to Russia during the 1988 Moscow Summit, or possibly received as a State gift presented by Gorbachev or other dignitaries. With ''Made in USSR'' marking on bottom. Box was originally sold at Christie's in New York, and has Christie's sticker. Measures 4.25'' x 3'' x 1'' high. Light wear, overall near fine condition.
