Original Hal Foster preliminary artwork for the ''Prince Valiant'' comic strip, #1809 in the series. Pencil sketch was for the strip published on 10 October 1971, hand-drawn by Foster as the strip transitioned from Foster to John Cullen Murphy. In addition to the sketch for the strip, lot also includes a separate typed story outline, and story narration. Three sheets each measure 8.5'' x 11''. Three hole punch, and paperclip impression at top. Foster or Murphy also wrote a few phone numbers at bottom of sketch. Overall in very good condition. From the John Cullen Murphy estate.
