Photo album from the personal collection of John F. Kennedy's White House photographer, Cecil W. Stoughton, who here captures 19 moments from 29 May 1962, John F. Kennedy's 45th birthday party. This party followed the lavish event at Madison Square Garden where Marilyn Monroe famously sang ''Happy Birthday Mr. President'', and features numerous photos not only of JFK, but also of Harry Belafonte, Maria Callas, Jimmy Durante, Shirley MacLaine, Mike Nichols, and others. Though Marilyn isn't present in these photos, she was at the party, and Jackie is conspicuously absent. Album contains 19 photos, all with Stoughton's address label on verso, and two with his embossed stamp at lower right. Photos show Belanfonte and his wife doing ''The Twist'', Diahann Carroll performing, Jimmy Durante, a JFK impersonator, and the real President meeting several guests, including Carroll with his ''typical pose'' of hands in pockets. All photos are glossy, in black and white, with two measuring 8'' x 10'' with others measuring 7.5'' square or larger. Contained in black vinyl album. Most photos are near fine.
