Towel used by John F. Kennedy as Senator, from his U.S. Senate office bathroom. Cream linen towel has ''United States Government'' woven within a blue stripe. Accompanied by a letter signed by Evelyn Lincoln, Kennedy's personal secretary'' on a U.S. Senate notepad, stating that the towel ''was used by the Senator. It was found in one of his file cabinets that were moved from the Senate Office Building after he became President to the White House where it was discarded.'' Letter is to noted JFK collector Robert L. White, who auctioned the towel at Guernsey's as lot 146 in the ''Robert L. White Collection'' sale. Towel measures 31'' x 16''. Some age discoloration, overall very good condition.
