This trophy was presented to Jose Nasazzi by the Uruguayan football Association in 1950, as one of the surviving winning players from the 1930 and 1950 World Cup winning teams. Height of trophy measures approximately 8.5''. Nasazzi is regarded by many as Uruguay's greatest football player. He was known as ''El Gran Mariscal'' (The Great Marshal) and had already won the gold medal at the 1924 and 1928 Olympic Games, as well as the South American Championship in 1923, 1924 and 1926. He became the first captain to lift the Jules Rimet Trophy in 1930.
