Lucille Ball lot of bridal items from the Ball-Arnaz wedding in 1949. Lucy and Desi eloped in 1940 and then after a brief separation, renewed their vows in a Catholic church on 19 June 1949. Bridal items stored in Lucy's hope chest comprise: (1) a pair of fingerless gloves made of white organza, (2) light blue garter with light blue ribbon decoration featuring a white rosette at center and delicate pale green lace trim all around the bottom, (3) slice of ''groom's cake'' in a box measuring 3'' x 1.75'' x 1'', (4) cake decoration of pink icing framing a photo of Lucy's face, measuring 2''. Accompanied by an 8'' x 10'' wedding photo showing Lucy wearing the gloves. Save for crumbling to the icing on Lucy's photo, lot is near fine overall. From the collection of Lucille Ball's daughter and with a COA from her.
