Arthur Ashe's autograph notes on the back of a program from a 1986 tennis event. Ashe was the keynote speaker one day during ''Tennis Festival Week'' at a tennis club in Massachusetts. His notes, presumably for his speech at the event, appear in outline form, composed mostly of scattered names and phrases, with developed content reading in part: ''...As keynote speaker -- what I believe to be the prime accomplishment of this program is it's still here, progressing, contributing, with a solid future and many thought it wouldn't work / One of the many lessons in life learned is that RESOURCES (money, time, material things) are invested in people more than ideas...'' 22pp. program names Ashe twice in its printed contents. Measures 8.5'' Minor toning, else near fine condition. With an LOA from Ashe's widow.
