Tennis superstar Arthur Ashe 1965 trophy from the 66th annual Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament held in 1965, while Ashe was studying at UCLA on a tennis scholarship. The same year this trophy was awarded, Ashe won the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) singles title and contributed to UCLA's winning the team NCAA tennis championship. Geared at young players, the Ojai tournament includes a medley of rising talent, including players from Pacific 10 and Big West Conference championships, as well as independent and community college divisions. Trophy is designed as a silver water pitcher with ''66th Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament / 1965 / Invitational Mens Singles'' engraved on it. Pitcher measures 9'' x 7.5'' and has minor tarnish on spicket and a sticker on the bottom notating his widow's name and address. Near fine. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
