Cinematographer Robert Surtees 1978 Oscar nomination plaque for his work on the romantic comedy "Same Time, Next Year," directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn. Surtees was nominated an impressive 16 times for films including "Ben-Hur," "Mutiny on the Bounty," "The Graduate" and more. Plaque depicts an image of the Oscar statuette and reads: "Certificate of Nomination For Award / Be it known that Robert Surtees was nominated for an Academy Award of Merit for Outstanding Achievement / Cinematography / 'Same Time, Next Year' / This judgment being rendered with reference to Motion Pictures first regularly exhibited in Los Angeles district during the year ending December 31, 1978". Plaque is signed by Academy President and Secretary. Wooden plaque with a satin-finish measures 12" x 13.5". Minor dents and glue residue in two spots at bottom border. Very good plus.
