Richard Feynman Personally Owned Statement Regarding the Challenger Disaster -- With Handwritten Notes by Feynman

Richard Feynman personally owned statement regarding the Rogers Commission and the space shuttle Challenger disaster, with Feynman's handwritten notes at bottom. Dated 10 June 1986 on ''Caltech news bureau'' stationery, statement reads in part, ''Statement by Dr. Richard Feynman...The purpose in having this press conference is to answer questions you might have about the report of the President's Commission on the Space Shuttle Challenger Accident that came out yesterday...My report is going to appear in an appendix to the main report because it is in more detail, and in a more personal style, than most of the rest of the report is written...these conclusions are only my own...'' Feynman then handwrites ''5'' over a crossed-out 6, and also ''Office of Nat'l Archives'' with its address after crossing out ''I don't know where those are being stored.'' Single page document measures 8.5'' x 11''. Light creasing and wear, else near fine. From the Richard Feynman estate.
