Francis II document signed as the last Holy Roman Emperor. Document, written in old German was signed by the ruler around 1792, the year his father Leopold passed away. Francis II brought Austria into the French Revolutionary Wars but lost, suffering a memorable defeat in the Battle of Austerlitz. Runs 2pp. on a single large card-style sheet with an integral blank. Measures 9.25'' x 14.75''. Toning, creasing, chipping to left edge and top edge, with separation to central fold from the bottom up and to the horizontal fold at center from right edge and pencil notation to verso, else very good.
