His signature appears alongside those of several members of his cabinet: Vice President Garret Augustus Hobart, Postmaster General Charles Emory Smith, Secretary of Agriculture James Wilson, Secretary of the Treasury Lyman J. Gage, Secretary of Navy John D. Long, Assistant Secretary of the Navy Charles H. Allen and his Supreme court nominee Alfred Hemenway. Accompanied by a handwritten ''Bill of Fare'' menu on U.S.S. Iowa stationery measuring 5'' x 6.5''. Signed card featuring a nautical gilt seal measures 4'' x 3''. Near fine.
