White House used china, in the Benjamin Harrison pattern. Dinner plate designed by First Lady Harrison features a white well with arms of the U.S. in enamel at center (adapted from the Lincoln arms design), surrounded by a halo of 44 gilt stars, all within a midnight blue border bearing sprays of cornstalks in gilt. Plate features scalloped edges and a gilt rim edge. Plate is from a reorder of the china by the William McKinley or Theodore Roosevelt administrations. Verso is stamped, ''Harrison 1892 / Limoges / France / TV [Terssemanes & Vogt.] / Decore Pour / M.W. Beveridge, / Washington. D.C.'' Measures 9.5'' in diameter. Faint scattered abrasions to gilt and subtle dulling to border from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock, else near fine.
