Two original unpublished albumen prints from 1891, taken by Northwestern Photo Co. of Chadron, Nebraska, whose outfit is well known for documenting the aftermath of the Wounded Knee massacre. At least one of the photos was taken on the 4th of July 1891 by photographer Clarence Moreledge near the Pine Ridge Agency, showing Sioux engaged in an Omaha Dance. The other shows a tipi encampment of mothers and their children. Both photos are numbered in the negative. Photos measure 7'' x 4.25'', affixed to an album mat measuring 10'' x 7''. Some buckling and staining to mat. Teepee photograph is a bit light, overall in very good condition.
