Ticket and materials for admission to the burial of King Edward VII, held on 20 May 1910 at St. George's Hall, Windsor Castle. Tickets are addressed to Lady Savile, a friend of the King's. Each piece features a black border of mourning. Three-part ticket set comprises: (1) Card titled ''Windsor Castle'' with Lady Savile's name handwritten on it, admitting her ''To The St. George's Hall, On Friday, the 20th May 1910. / Beauchamp, / Lord Steward''. With an embossed seal on the left. Measures 4.5'' x 3''. Vertical stripe of toning through center, else near fine; (2) Card titled, ''Earl Marshal's Office'', reading, ''On production of the Ticket of Admission to St. George's Chapel, enclosed herewith, a seat will be provided in the Special Train which leaves Paddington Station for Windsor at 11.0 a.m. The return journey may be made in like manner by any Special Train leaving Windsor for Paddington after the Ceremony.'' Measures 4.5'' x 3.5''. Near fine; (3) Actual admission pass, labeled ''C23'', with Lady Savile's name handwritten and a gorgeous white on black embossed seal at lower right.
