Theodore Roosevelt signed first edition of his ''African Game Trails: An Account of the African Wanderings of an American Hunter-Naturalist, Volume I''. Charles Scribner's Sons: New York: 1910. Limited edition volume is No. 369 of 500. Elegantly signed upon the limitation page, ''Theodore Roosevelt'' in black ink. Book is an account of Roosevelt's ten-month hunting trip through central and northern Africa, made after he left the White House in March 1909. Runs 268pp. Pages with deckled edges are bound in tan paper boards with chestnut brown leather spine. Measures 6.5'' x 10''. Foxing and toning to fly leaves and endpapers, wear to exterior including a small crack in the backstrip at the top edge and expert repair to interior front hinge. Very good overall.
