Theodore Roosevelt military appointment signed as President, dated 16 February 1906, and countersigned by William H. Taft as Secretary of War. Roosevelt appoints Palmer G. Wood to Brigadier General. Wood began his career in the Civil War, serving as Second Lieutenant in the 7th California Volunteer Infantry. Vellum document measures 15.5'' x 19.5'', with intact blue seal at lower left. Small hole at upper left, but overall in very good plus condition.
