''Pittsburgh Post-Gazette'' from 2 January 1973, reporting the death of Pittsburgh Pirates superstar Roberto Clemente. Headline read's ''Clemente Dies In Plane Crash''. The front page covers Clemente's death and the DC7 plane crash extensively, with six additional pages dedicated to tributes and pictures of the Hall of Fame right fielder. Clemente was posthumously inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973. The 36pp. 15'' x 22.5'' newspaper has some minor toning, else near fine.
