President Richard Nixon signed first edition, first printing of his political tome ''The Real War'' published by Warner Books: New York: 1980. A ''Real War'' bookplate affixed to the fly-leaf is inscribed to the historian Adam Ulam: ''Richard Nixon / for / Adam Ulam''. A slip is also included from the Warner Brothers Trade Division explaining that the book is a review copy and: ''We would appreciate 2 copies of reviews or mentions of this title.'' Runs 341pp. and measures 6.25'' x 9.5''. Bound in red cloth boards with silver lettering Includes original unclipped dustjacket with $12.50 price intact. The slightest wear to boards and a pencil smudge to the fore-edge. Very light rippling to fly-leaf where bookplate is affixed. Near fine overall. Dustjacket is near fine.
