Rare first edition, first printing of Edward Ruscha's important self-published photographic book ''Every Building on the Sunset Strip'': Los Angeles: 1966. The accordion-style volume possesses the first edition point of the small folded flap on the last page. This unique work features continuous photography of a two and a half mile stretch of Sunset Boulevard, the same area that was the site of the Sunset Strip curfew riots in the summer of 1966. Both sides of the street are shown, complete with the exact street numbers and names of cross streets. A historical and artistically influential work. Softcover book measures 5.75'' x 7''. Light soiling, creasing to the spine, else near fine. The original mylar slipcase is included. Light soiling and tape repair to top and tail edges. Very good.
