Electric blue costume worn by Prince, and one of his favorite outfits. Custom-made costume features matching shirt, pants and shoes, all in the same shimmering electric blue and black knit fabric. Poet style shirt features lettuce edge ruffles at the cuffs and down the center, flanking the front snap placket. Pants are size 25'' x 32''. Shirt measures 19'' across the chest and 27'' in total length. Costume bears the label of designer Jose Arellanes. Accompanied by his 3.5'' high-heeled shoes with Prince's famous ''love symbol'' as a zipper pull in metal on one of the shoes. Self-covered fabric shoes with leather lining feature a metal reinforcement nailed into the space between the heel and sole under the arch. Designer label within bears the brand name Andre #1. Shoes measure 9.25'' from toe to heel. Zipper pull shows some chipping to gold tone finish, else costume is near fine. From the collection of Mayte Garcia.
