Original Hal Foster preliminary artwork for the ''Prince Valiant'' comic strip, #1961 in the series. Pencil sketch was for the strip published on 8 September 1974, hand-drawn by Foster as the strip transitioned from Foster to John Cullen Murphy. Lot also includes a typed story outline, with each sheet measuring 8.5'' x 11''. Three hole punch, paperclip impression at top, and red pen on margin. Overall in very good condition. From the John Cullen Murphy estate.
