Original and complete set of ''Four Freedoms'' posters by Norman Rockwell from 1943, each signed by Rockwell in black felt-tip at lower left, without inscription. Posters measuring 28.5'' x 40'' depict ''Freedom of Speech'', ''Freedom of Worship'', ''Freedom from Want'' and ''Freedom from Fear'', four tenets of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1941 State of the Union address. Rockwell was so inspired by the speech that he created the oil paintings in 1943, which were then featured in ''The Saturday Evening Post'' and reproduced as war bond posters by the Office of War Information. Posters are original from 1943, with OWI printing information at bottom. Posters range in condition from very good to near fine, with all having small separations along folds (as issued) only affecting margins, and a few small holes at intersecting folds. ''Freedom of Speech'' poster is in very good to near fine condition. ''Freedom of Worship'' has some tape remnants and small areas of paper loss at corners, and mild uniform toning, overall in very good condition. ''Freedom From Want'' has a 1.5'' closed tear at left margin, and mild uniform toning, overall in very good condition. ''Freedom From Fear'' has pinholes at corners, and very light uniform toning, overall very good plus condition. An attractive, large set of the famed ''Four Freedom'' posters, rarely found signed by Rockwell as a set.
