Nobel Prize winning physicist Wilhelm Wien autograph postcard signed, written from Wuerzburg to his wife, with postmark of 20 April 1901 when Wien was studying at the University of Wuerzburg. In this letter, Wien tells his wife that he performed well on two doctoral examinations. One of the earliest recipients of the Nobel Prize, Wien also founded Wien's displacement law, and developed theories that laid the groundwork for quantum mechanics. Postcard in German measures 5.5'' x 3.5''. Mild wear, and smudge from postmark, in very good condition. With translation.
