Rare Beatles signed promotional photo taken in September of 1962, shortly after Ringo Starr became the band's new drummer. Taken by the Liverpool photography firm, ''Peter Kaye Photography,'' photo depicts The Beatles aboard the fire boat ''The Salvor'' which was moored at Albert Dock in Liverpool at the time. Print along right side of card reads: ''The Beatles / Direction. Nems Enterprises Ltd. 12 14 White Chapel Liverpool 1. Royal 7895''. After rejecting a studio session with Ringo, manager Brian Epstein arranged this session which garnered the first approved photos of The Beatles with Ringo as their new drummer. Signatures from all four members of the Fab Four appear on the verso of the card and read in order from top to bottom: ''George Harrison'', ''John Lennon'', ''Ringo Starr'' and ''Paul McCartney'', with each man signing x's under his name. Each signature is in a different shade of blue ink, except for Lennon's signature, which is in black ink. Postcard measures 5.5'' x 3.5'' with light foxing to the verso and small crease to the bottom. All four signatures are bold and clear. Card has some creasing and wear throughout and minor toning to verso, else very good condition. With TRACKS COA.
