Ebenezer Richardson, controversial murderer of a young boy weeks before the Boston Massacre, autograph note signed. Dated 15 September 1755, Richardson writes on the verso of a Middlesex Sheriff order, ''I attached a Dwelling House of the Defendants in Reading...at his usual place of abode. Ebenezer Richardson''. Richardson's act of murder caused outrage, with the victim's funeral organized by Samuel Adams. Document includes a Massachusetts Province Revenue ''Pine Tree'' Stamp of 1755. Toned 8.25'' x 6.5'' document has expected wear and light chipping on the edges. Overall very good condition.
