Edith Head original costume sketch signed, based on the fashion from the 1969 film ''Winning'' starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. Watercolor and pencil sketch was used as promotional fashion tie-in, taking the ''look'' she had created for this film to merchandise a line of clothing. With costume notations written in pencil by Head, ''The 'Winning' Look / Leather garters & gauntlets'' and a bold ''Edith Head'' signature at lower left in pencil. Sketch measures 14'' x 16.75'' on thick watercolor paper. Near fine.
