Daytime Emmy nomination for Marlena Laird's direction of ''General Hospital'' from 1979-1980. Laird has won twice and been nominated five times for Outstanding Direction Daytime Emmy's, is a winner of a DGA award, and was the youngest woman ever to direct a television movie. The certificate is signed by John Connor as president of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, as well as by Robert Winston as Chairman of the Board. Inlaid in a wooden plaque with gilt trim and a high-gloss finish. Measures 11'' x 13''. Chipping to lower left corner, else near fine.
