Noah Webster twice signed deed, dated 28 August 1804. Webster handwrites the upper portion of the partially printed document, in which he signs his name twice. He writes in part, ''...a certain piece of land lying in said New Haven...on Water Street, East...'' Webster resided for many years in New Haven, having attended Yale University, and is buried there. Intact wax and paper seal on lower right. Light toning and pinhole separations to folds of single page 8.25'' x 13.5'' document. Overall a handsome document in very good condition.
