Golden Globe award presented to screen legend Barbara Stanwyck at the 1984 ceremony of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Stanwyck won Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-series, or Motion Picture Made for Television for her performance as Mary Carson in ''The Thorn Birds,'' the second most successful mini-series of all time. The gold-plated orb is encircled by a strip of film and comes mounted to a pedestal of marble. The engraved plaque has been removed from the base, though provenance is from the estate of Stanwyck's personal assistant Larry Kleno, who identified the award. Measures 9'' in total height, and base measures 3'' x 3'' square. Weighs 3 pounds, 3.75 ounces. Some tarnishing and rubbing to globe and slight chipping to base corners. In very good condition.
