Indian writer and poet Rabindranath Tagore signed 3.25'' x 5.25'' semi-matte photo. The recipient of the 1913 Nobel Prize for Literature signs, ''Rabindranath Tagore'' below his image. Tagore, who had early success as a writer in his native Bengal, became known in the West once his poetry was translated. He lectured around the world and became the voice of India's spiritual heritage. Photo is affixed to 5'' x 7'' backing. Minor chipping to backing with toning and silvering to photo; else very good.
