Thomas Edison autograph note signed to Jaffrey Buchanan, his employee at Edison Chemical Factory who helped handle factory day-to-day operations. In pencil, the inventor writes in his shorthand style, ''Cant a 1/4 inch screen put somewhere even if you have to automatically shake it that will catch strings / Edison''. He adds a postscript for emphasis: ''You have not answered this Why not a screen / E''. ''11-26-23'' is written in another hand. Light toning to 5'' x 8'' note, else very good.
