''Democratic Electoral Ticket for 1848'' listing the Presidential candidate, Lewis Cass, the VP candidate, William Butler and statewide candidates in Virginia. 1848 was an interesting election year as President James Polk did not seek re-election and former President Van Buren lost the Democratic nomination to Lewis Cass (Van Buren would run as a Free Soil candidate). Zachary Taylor, the Whig candidate, would ultimately win the Presidency that year. Toning and foxing to 4.25'' x 6.25'' ticket, else very good.
