French document dated 14 September 1815 instructing "three carriages of two rings" be used for "transporting the convalescence to the Hospital of Val de Grace in the interior of the city of Paris…the King". The heading of the document reads "Commander of Austria", indicating that the carriages might be for his benefit. Signed by several officials at the bottom. Document bears a red wax seal to the lower left beside an ink stamp. Measures 8" x 5". Toning and pencil notations to left edge. Very good.
