Typed letter signed by Dr. Seuss to his friend Diddo Clark. Upon his personal stationery, the letter, dated 14 June, 1971 reads in full: ''Dear Diddo, I wish I had known you were in Mexico when I was there. I would have enjoyed taking you to the anthropological museum, which in my opinion is one of the greatest examples of excellence in the entire world. Concerning your suggestion of meeting on the last Tuesday of October, it would be much safer for both of us if the date could be set somewhere in the middle of November. I might be here in late October, but it looks as though I might have to be in New Zealand at that time. Very best wishes, [signed] Ted Geisel''. 1pp. on pale blue paper measures 7'' x 10.5''. Creasing, else near fine.
