Charles Dickens autograph letter signed, dated Tuesday 28 July 1868. Addressed to a Rev. A.P. Moore (or similar name), Dickens writes in full, ''Dear Sir / In reply of your obliging letter. I beg to assure you that I have very strongly represented its just cause of complaint, to my publishers. Allow me to thank you for so courteously addressing me on the subject. / Dear Sir / Faithfully yours / Charles Dickens''.

At this time Dickens was preparing a ''farewell readings'' tour throughout England, Scotland and Ireland. He would pass away less than two years later. Composed on his Gads Hill Place stationery, single page letter measures 4.5'' x 7'', hinged at top on the verso to double-mat board. Shallow folds, overall near fine condition.
