Kiyoshi Tanimoto fundraising letter signed for the Hiroshima Peace Center Foundation, his Christian organization designed to promote world peace and also help the atomic blast survivors of Hiroshima. Tanimoto was instrumental in bringing awareness to the plight of the ''Hiroshima Maidens'', a group of school age girls who were seriously disfigured from the blast. Signed ''Kiyoshi Tanimoto'', letter in English is dated July 1950, detailing his speaking tour throughout the United States in 1948-49 on ''Hiroshima and World Brotherhood'', and what had been accomplished to rebuild the city and help its residents. Four page printed letter on bifolium stationery measures 7.125'' x 10.25''. Folds, else near fine. Accompanied by original envelope.
