U.S. flag flown aboard STS-61-A, Space Shuttle Challenger's last successful mission that took place from 31 October-6 November 1985, approximately two months before the Challenger disaster. Flag measures 5.875'' x 4.125'', housed within a presentation folder from the 1985 Wright Memorial Dinner. Flag was given to Tim Farmer, a journalist at the event, whose article for ''Loudoun Times-Mirror'' accompanies the lot. Folder measures 8.5'' x 11''. Very light glue staining to edges of flag, overall near fine.
