Woodrow Wilson political poster from 1918, asking voters to give Wilson a ''Democratic Congress Both Senators and Representatives''. Poster continues, ''Americans! The Supreme Test of the Nation Has Come!! / Stand by the President! / Stand by the Flag! / Stand by the Country! / Stand by the Boys at the Front!'' As with most mid-term elections however, the party in the White House lost seats, and the Republicans gained control of Congress, although the women's suffrage movement performed well. Large poster in blue sepia features a dramatic vignette of an eagle over a photograph of Wilson. Printed by Allied Printing of Columbus, Ohio and with Union bug at lower center. Visible portion of poster measures 27.5'' x 42'', framed to 30.75'' x 45''. Not examined out of frame. Folds, some creasing and minor discoloration. Overall very good.
