Letter from James Dean's LA agent, Dick Clayton, to his NY counterpart, Jane Deacy, regarding the start of filming ''Rebel Without a Cause''. Dated 1 April 1955, letter reads in part, ''Jimmy is very happy and the picture started shooting at the planetarium on Tuesday. / Last week he went directly to the paymaster and got his first week's check. When I learned this I went to the studio and informed them that the contract called for his checked to be mailed to you immediately...'' Single page measures 7.25'' x 10.5''.
