Civil War magic lantern slide, picturing the Gettysburg Soldiers' National Monument, sculpted by Randolph Rogers, with the cornerstone laid on 4 July 1865 shortly after the war's end. From the collection of the McIntosh Stereopticon Co. of Chicago, glass slide measures 4'' x 3.25'', cased in period metal. Near fine condition with excellent contrast.
