Booklet in French is signed and inscribed by Schweitzer at top in fountain pen, dated 7 February 1957. During the 1950s, Schweitzer, along with Albert Einstein and others, worked against the use of nuclear weapons, founding ''The Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy'' in 1957.
