Scarce letter signed by Nikola Tesla, composed on his Tesla Company, Inc. letterhead at 8 West 40th St. in New York. One of the most storied inventors of the 20th century, Tesla's rivalry with Thomas Edison was so intense that both men refused a Nobel Prize rather than share the Prize together for their contributions to electric power.

Letter to inventor Edwin Fulton Pottenger on 14 April 1919 reads in part, ''...I have been expecting to make a trip west on which occasion I intended to confer, in regard to our proposal, with my associates there who are manufacturing all kinds of machinery on a vast scale and have also taken up the tractor business...[signed] N. Tesla''. Single page measures 8'' x 10''. Folds, with one through ''N'' in signature, light wear, and three hole punches on left sides with reinforcement. Very good condition. Scarce.
