Rare autograph letter signed by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, composed on 18 September 2020, the day of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's passing, whom Barrett replaced on the Court. Composed in black fountain pen on Barrett's personal Circuit Judge stationery, letter reads in full,
''Thank you for your kind note. You asked what advice I have for current & future law students. I would say that to excel in the profession, one must master the pen - legal writing is the key to success in law school and beyond. More importantly, of course, one must cultivate strength of character - to keep one's priorities in order & resist the temptation to cut corners, ethical or otherwise. Best of luck to you. / Amy Barrett''. Card measures 7'' x 5'', accompanied by Barrett's embossed envelope, also postmarked 18 September 2020. Light wear, overall near fine condition.
