''The New York Times'' newspaper from 21 July 1969, the day after the Apollo 11 moon landing. Headlines include, ''Men Walk on Moon'' and ''A Powdery Surface Is Closely Explored''. A few days earlier, ''The New York Times'' famously published a retraction of its editorial from 1920, where it dismissed the notion that a rocket could function in a vacuum and land on the moon. Late City Edition reporting on the historic mission is toned along at center fold with some creasing and light chipping. Very good condition.
